How to Use EduManual With Your Child

A friendly start: how learning happens here and what your role can be.

Ages 3–12 · EduManual Team · Original EduManual content.

💚 Why it matters: EduManual works best when a child practises a little every day and a grown-up stays curious about what they are learning. You do not need to be a teacher — you need to be interested.

🧭 What parents can do

Sit beside your child for the first few sessions. Let them click and tap. Your job is to ask one good question at the end: "What did you learn?" and to celebrate the effort, not only the score.

🪜 Step-by-step

  1. Pick one subject and one small activity (10 minutes is plenty)
  2. Let your child drive — you watch and encourage
  3. Ask one question afterwards: "What was the trickiest part?"
  4. Praise what they tried, not just what they got right
  5. Come back tomorrow — little and often beats long and rare
✨ Example: Instead of "Do 30 minutes of English now", try "Let's do one word family together, then you tell me the words you made."

🏡 Try this activity

Together: open a word family page (-at) and take turns making words. Five minutes, lots of laughs.

❓ Questions to ask

  • “What did you learn today?”
  • “What was the trickiest part?”
  • “What would you like to try tomorrow?”

⚠️ Common mistakes

Treating EduManual as a reward/punishment tool. Keep it as a calm, normal part of the day.

🤝 When to seek additional support: If sessions regularly end in tears or frustration, shorten them. Talk with your child's teacher if worries persist.
